PEACEHAVEN WI: The April meeting started on a sad note with the president announcing the death of one of our valued members. We were then invited to list our preferences for the dinner menu in May at our 93rd birthday party, also those joining the outing to Chessington were asked to confirm by paying a deposit.

After tea we once again had the pleasure of having an afternoon with Tony Harris, as Sherlock Holmes. It was an hour of hilarity, especially as he was dressed in character, complete with deerstalker hat, pipe and cloak. He spoke at length on the days of Jack the Ripper and the various possibilities of who was the perpetrator of those dastardly deeds and hoped, after his talk, we would not have sleepless night.

The meeting closed with a reminder of our next get-together on May 4. (Joy Allen).
