COFFEE MORNING: A Royal British Legion Coffee Morning for the Poppy Appeal will take place tomorrow, Saturday, in the Symons Hall, Ringmer Village Hall, starting at 10.30am. There will also be bring-and-buy and a raffle.

ST MARY’S: Tonight (Friday) at 8pm Compline is to be sung at St Mary’s. This service marks the completion of the day and everyone is welcome to attend. Tomorrow, Saturday, the Ladies Breakfast takes place at 8.30am in the church room with a guest speaker. On Sunday, there is 8am Holy Communion, 10am Parish Eucharist and admittance of new members to the Mother’s Union. At 6.30pm, Evensong will be sung. On Tuesday, the Men’s Club meets at 7.30pm with guest speakers Jenny and Graham taking about their experiences in Iraq. Visitors are always welcome.

BAPTIST CHURCH: Regular Services in the village hall: Sundays at 10.30am and 6pm. Communion usually celebrated on second Sunday (morning) and fourth Sunday (evening) each month. Sunday and Youth Clubs available. All welcome to join our service in Lime Tree Residential Home on April 13 at 2.15pm. Come along to our Tea and Teaching service on April 17 (tea at 5pm, Ten Commandments DVD at 6pm). Our next Messy Church event, for all the family, is on April 24 in the village hall at 2.30pm. The Ringmer Food Bank, run by Ringmer Baptist Church, is open every Monday from 1.30pm to 2.30pm. Located in the village hall (Rogers Room) it is available to individuals and families referred to us by local welfare organisations. BRIDGE CLUB: At its meeting on Wednesday March 30, the result of the duplicate pairs played was: 1, Roy Skan and Tony Wing; 2, Jenny Charman and Michael Slot; 3, Barrie Smith and Alan Grindley. The club next meets in the St Mary’s room of the village hall on Wednesday at 7.30pm. Contact 814220.
