ST MARY’S: Thank you to everyone who bought plants at the vicarage last Saturday, we raised approx. £80 for church funds. This week we have been joining with churches across the UK in a week of prayer under the banner Thy Kingdom Come. This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost, the festival of the Holy Spirit and often symbolised by flames on the altar frontal and Revd Beth’s robes. In addition to the usual services at 8am and 10am, there will be a buffet lunch at 1pm in the village hall to which all are welcome (let Shirley know if you can come). The 6.30pm service takes a quiet and meditative format with Taize chants and musical accompaniment. On Tuesday the Mother’s Union meets at 7.30pm to hear about Emmaus Brighton. It’s a charity, it’s a community and so much more. Members and visitors welcome to find out more ahead of our trip in June.
