RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION: Telscombe Residents Association'¬ are trying to protect some of our local twittens for future generations by seeking to turn them into Public Rights of Way. To do this, the association needs to produce evidence about how the twitten is used and by whom. If you use the pathway (Buckhurst Road/Cliff Gardens) then please fill in an evidence form which can be collected at 'ŽTelscombe'¬ Civic Centre and on completion return to the reception at the Civic Centre. Your help is much appreciated.'¬'¬'¬'¬'¬'¬

FOOTNOTES: To Eastbourne last Tuesday to perform at the Anderida Writers Group. Having entered the short story competition myself, I was somewhat startled to find that not only had I won first prize for the second year running, but this time the third prize as well. Home to a celebration and to restore the silver cup to its former place on the dresser. I have spent most of the week like the rest of us, playing hide and seek with the sun. There I am carefully placing my chair on the lawn under a blazing sun, cup of tea on the table beside it, book and/or film script ready, I sink into the chair. Five minutes later the sky has clouded over, the wind is whistling through the trees, and the temperature has dropped dramatically and I am shivering in my shirt and shorts. Reverse of all the actions above and I sink into my armchair beside the desk. Ten minutes later I raise my head and see the sun beaming down on the garden. You just cannot win. I give up and the phone rings. It is my agent yet again dropping broad hints about my autobiography. I have worked in my profession continuously for 67 years and still I keep going off on a tangent whenever I start to write about all those years. Part of the problem is that I am so engrossed in what is going on and what I am working on currently, that I have no real desire to re-visit all those years again. I put the phone down and mentally promise myself to work on it this time. Well, some time. Have a good week and go safely wherever your destiny takes you.
