Spring Concert: The Friends of St. Peter’s Church invite you to a Spring Concert tomorrow, Saturday, at 7.30pm and are delighted to welcome back Coro Nuovo together with soloists. The Concert is being held in the church on Chailey Green. The programme will include favourite movie themes. There will be an interval with refreshments. VOLUNTEERING: At the Bluebell Railway. Want to find out more? A Find Out More Day is taking place this Sunday and anyone, skilled or unskilled, who can offer a day a month or more to the Railway are invited to ‘find out more’ about volunteering in our various departments. And if under 16 years old, you can gain experience in the 9F Club. Book your place on an orientation tour, and get more information about the opportunities at the Railway, by phoning 01825 720800 or emailing bluebellvolunteer@gmail.com.

SPRING SHOW: The horticultural society Spring Show is at the village hall on Saturday March 19. There are classes for daffodils, narcissi, polyanthus and hyacinths and if you have any of these flowers in your garden why not take them along. The entry fee for each class is just 10p for members, 20p for non-members and children 16 years and under free. You don’t need to worry that your entry will be up against those who have won many times before as there are novice classes for those with no experience or limited experience of showing. For a show schedule, which in addition to the classes for flowers includes details of the vegetable, flower arranging, handicrafts, art, photography, cookery and children’s classes, call Janet Keet-Black on 01273 400699.

ST GEORGES FETE: Planning for one of the Bonfire Society’s biggest annual events is underway. The Fete will take place on Saturday April 23 and the society are keen to hear from you. If you are interested in having a car boot space or a stall please contact them via www.chaileybonfire.co.uk or call Clare on 07985 112968. Also if you can help on the day please contact secretary@chaileybonfire.co.uk or call Diane on 01273 401900 as help is needed with site preparation, bar, barbecue, parking, dog show, the gate, stalls with homemade goods, cakes, tombola and a raffle, coconut shy, rowing challenge, hoopla, crepes and clearing up.

GK’s Café: At Chailey Heritage Foundation, have now got salad bar. Just go in and help yourself to a selection of delicious salad and a protein pot for just £3. Alternatively enjoy as a meal deal by adding a can of drink or bottle of water along with one of either chocolate, crisp or a piece of fruit for just £3.50.
