East Hoathly

EVENING PRAYER: Evening Prayer for All Souls. This service for remembering those who have died will take place on Sunday November 1 at Chiddingly Church, although residents of East Hoathly are invited to attend. At this service the names of those whose funerals have taken place in the two parishes since November 1 last year will be recalled by name. Also, anyone may submit a name of a loved one who they wish to be remembered during the service. Please let Phil Hodgins have the names directly, or write them on the All Souls’ list on the notice boards in the village church. The service is expected to last just over an hour.

FUND RAISING EVENING: An evening of live music and dance will take place on Saturday November 14 in the village hall starting at 8pm and finishing at 11pm. Funds raised will be for the benefit of the church and the sports pavilion. Tickets are priced at £10 each and include nibbles, and there will be a licenced bar, and can be purchased from the Village Stores or call J Newman on 07814 968682.

VILLAGE SHOW SOCIETY: The East Hoathly and Halland Village Show Society’s AGM will take place on Friday November 13 at 7pm in the village hall, followed by a light hearted quiz evening. There will be a cheese and wine buffet supper for the price of £5 per person. Please contact either Rosemary (840708) or Jane (840575) if you would like to come along.

FASHION EVENING: You are invited to come along to a Travelling Trends fashion show taking place in the village church tomorrow, Saturday, at 7pm. Tickets are £5 and funds raised will go towards the church. This will be a chance to see, tryon and buy this season’s fashions at greatly reduced prices.
