CHURCH OF ST ANDREW & ST MARY THE VIRGIN: Sunday 22nd May Trinity Sunday - 10am Parish Communion

FLETCHING BONFIRE SOCIETY:Fletching Bonfire Society Plant Sale - Sat 21st May from 10am - 12 noon in the Village Hall, Admission £1. We will have our usual array of good quality flower and vegetable plants for sale at very reasonable prices and all profits will go towards the bonfire society. So please come along and support us by buying your plants and supporting local.

Also: we have a Bingo evening on the same day in the evening. Eyes down at 7.30 pm. A good family evening so please come along. You may even win some prizes or money and have a laugh as well.

Advance notice: We are doing the refreshments at the Fletching Festival and will be looking for donations of cakes to sell. If you will be able to help us then please contact Sarah Bradford on 01273 476360 or 077591993051 if you will be able to supply some.

100 YEARS AGO: Sussex Express 26 May 1916. MORLING. Lance-Corporal Thomas Brown Morling, 11th Royal Sussex Regiment, youngest son of George and Mary Morling of Black Ven, Fletching, died in Tankerton Hospital. Aged 21 years. Interred in Fletching Churchyard, Sunday 14th May 1916. Dearly loved by all who knew him.
