MARKET: Tomorrow, Saturday, 10am to 4pm in Punnetts Town Village Hall. Loads of ideas for presents excellent stalls refreshments. Free entry.

INDOOR BOWLING: The sport of Indoor Bowling will be the activity for tomorrow, Saturday, at 2pm. This is being arranged and overseen by Alan Archer at the Horam Bowls Club and if you have never tried this game you are more than welcome to come and have some fun with the other novices who will be there. The price is £2 and tea and cakes will be provided. Ring Hazel Backley on 01435 831037 if you are joining the party.

A VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS EVENING: Presented by The Village Players from Rushlake Green will be staged on Friday November 27 in The Space at All Saints’ Church, Old Heathfield at 7pm for 7.30pm. It will be an evening of entertainment and merriment, glimpsing through words, song and dance, at the lasting traditions that fashioned the Victorian Christmas. An evening of warm celebration of family and hearth to drive the cold winter away. The inclusive price of £10 includes a hot meal, mince pies and coffee during the interval. Mulled wine will be available on arrival together with a licensed bar.
