INDUCTION AND INSTITUTION DATE: Worshippers who had joined together for the Benefice of Heathfield’s Holy Communion Service on Sunday January 29, learned from their church wardens that the date of Thursday September 7 had been set for the Induction and Institution of the Rev Christian Mitchell. The Benefice of Heathfield, comprising of three churches – All Saints’, Old Heathfield; St George’s, Broad Oak and St Richard’s, Heathfield was established early in 2016. The Rev ‘Mitch’ as he wishes to be known will become the Vicar of Heathfield on the day of the Induction and Institution with responsibilities for the overall Benefice of Heathfield. The evening programme will be held in St Richard’s Church.

COUNTRY LUNCHES: Meet at Punnetts Town Village Hall at 12.30pm on the following Wednesdays: February 22, March 8, March 22, April 5 and April 19. WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER: Is on Friday March 3 at Union Church, Heathfield, starting at 10.30am. This year the service material has been prepared by the Christian women of The Philippines.

ST RICHARD’S CHURCH: Sunday, 9.30am Parish Eucharist with activities for children. Tuesday, 2pm Toddler and Baby Group in the church hall. Wednesday 10am Holy Communion. Saturday, February 18, 9am Parish Prayers. Please note that the Parish Eucharist will commence at 9.30am each Sunday for the time being.
