WEDDING SHOWCASE: The Blackstock Estate at Grove Hill, Hellingly will have both barns dressed on Sunday between 10am and 3pm for prospective brides, grooms and families to have a walk around the grounds, meet the wedding team and taste a sample menu. Entry is free and there is no need to book.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL: There is a parent information evening on Monday in the Horsebridge Recreation Ground Clubhouse at 7.30pm. This is for potential girls and boys and their parents to come along and find out all about this new club and its recruitment of young people for the 2017 season.

BARN DANCE: On Saturday February 25 you can come along to a barn dance in a real root’n toot’n barn. Yeehaw. Grab your partner and do-se-do down to the Blackstock Estate at Grove Hill. For only £8.95 per person there will be a great night of Tex-Mex dining from 6pm and dance from 8pm. Online booking only at blackstockestate.co.uk.

DICKER DAY: This will be on Sunday June 25 from 1pm to 6pm. The next meeting of all those who expressed an interest in becoming involved is today, Friday, at 8pm at the Plough. The meeting will be at the far end of the pub near the door out into the rear car park.

WEDDING SHOWCASE: Michelham Priory has a Wedding Showcase on Sunday February 26 from 11am until 4pm. The Elizabethan Barn and Moat Terrace will be beautifully dressed for a wedding and the wedding team will be on hand to meet with you, answer all your questions and talk about your wedding plans and dreams. Entry to the Wedding Showcase is free and will include a goody bag for every couple, welcome drinks and canapes, easy parking on-site, the chance to meet suppliers, prize draw competition.
