CHRISTMAS FAYRE: South Street Bonfire Society are holding a Christmas Fayre at Cliffe Church Hall tomorrow, Saturday, from 9.30am to 12.30pm. Admission free. There will be a Christmas Hamper Draw, Christmas gifts, tombola, cakes, tea and coffee, 2015 Bonfire photos. Everybody Welcome. South Street Bonfire Society would like to wish all its supporters a Happy Christmas and New Year.
TRINITY AT SOUTHOVER: And St John sub Castro. Do you enjoy singing? You are welcome to join the choir for our candlelit carol services in Southover at 4pm and 6.30pm on Sunday December 20. Rehearsals are in Southover church 7.30pm to 8.30pm tonight, Friday, and then December 4, 11 and 18. If you can make it on December 18 and at least another date or two, please just come along and join us. On Sunday December 6 at 3pm we would like to invite you to our bereavement service at Southover. We would like to welcome all those who have lost loved ones and to bring a flower to present during the service as an act of remembrance. On Tuesday December 8 the Men’s’ Cinema will be showing a recent blockbuster movie at the John Harvey Tavern from 7.30pm. There is no charge for the film and the bar will be open during the evening to buy drinks. Thank you to everyone who supported the book sale for the Rwandan education fund which raised £1,000. Volunteers are invited to help sort and deliver donations of clothes for the homeless and refugees. This is not arduous, and most deliveries are local, although a car would be useful because of the quantities involved.
