Lewes

HISTORY GROUP: Lewes History Group, A tale of two streets, Monday 7pm (for 7.30pm) at the King’s Church building, Brooks Road. Following the AGM, there will be two talks from the latest Lewes Street Stories’ teams. Bridget Millmore of Grange Rd and Jim Hillage of South Street will reveal how they plan to explore the history of the residents and their homes and what they have discovered so far. They will also be asking current and past residents to come forward with old photos, deeds and memories so these can all be part of the streets’ stories. There will be free mulled wine and mince pies. All welcome. Members free and £3 for non-members. www.leweshistory.org.uk

CHRISTINGLE: At St Michael’s in the High Street on Sunday December 20 at 3pm. The service is child focussed, but enjoyable for everyone, and giving goes to support the Children’s Society, which fights hard for children, especially in this country.

BRIDGE: Burgess Hill Bridge Club December 5: 1, John and Margaret Greer; 2, Christina Backholer and Mary Teviot; 3, David Harris and Shirley Williams; 4, Richard Hopperton and Charles Teviot.
