Whilst I applaud the decision by East Sussex County Council to turn off street lights during the most part for the night to save money and indeed energy, I wonder why the lights at the old household recycling centre in Lewes Road are still in use? Surely these lights should be switched off permanently as they are no longer needed. Also, the lights at the new household recycling centre appear to be on movement sensors, however it seems that these lights go on and off constantly from dusk, presumably activated by the movement of trees. Perhaps someone could look at this and arrange for the lights to be switched off once the centre closes as they are surely then not required.
