SOUTH MALLING SCHOOL: The school will be sorry to say goodbye to their wonderful Year 6’s at the end of term. The school is celebrating their transition to secondary school with a variety of events and the first of these will be this week when they go off on their residential trip to Bowles.
They are away for two nights staying at the outdoor adventure site and undertaking all sorts of exciting activities including skiing and rock climbing.

It’s nearly time for the school’s famous and fabulous fete. This year it will be held on Saturday July 4 between 11.30am and 2.30pm.
They will be holding the first ever South Malling Bake Off. There will also be a tug of war and they have the lovely Lucy, providing a bike to make your favourite juices.
Last but not least, they are breaking from tradition and having a hog roast and their very own vintage tea room. The school looks forward to seeing everybody at the fete, making this year one of the best so far.

TRINITY SOUTH MALLING: The parish church held its garden fete in the beautiful grounds of Glebe Cottage last Saturday. As well as a very pleasant afternoon and good weather, despite a threatening forecast, the event raised around £350 for Christian Aid.
On Sunday, Revd Steve Daughtery argued that God still created us even though he knew we would get things wrong and loves us even though we let him down over and over just as parents decide to have children knowing much the same.
He desires companionship with others made in his own image, and the chance to love and be loved by beings capable of making the choice. He continues to love us as wayward friends, which isn’t always the case with human parents.
This coming Sunday, there will be a Communion Service led by the Revd Jeremy Bamber, beginning at 9.30am. All are welcome.
