COFFEE MORNING: The coffee morning tomorrow, Saturday, in the lounge at Polegate Community Centre is hosted by the British Legion from 10am to noon. All welcome.

WALKS: Tomorrow, Saturday, Talk and Walk, 4.5 miles with Angie. Meet at Little Common bus stop 10am. Bus 99 at 9.23am outside Nat West Bank, Cornfield Road. Through fields and woods, refreshments en route. Leader Angie at start of walk. On Sunday, Linear, Buckle my Foot, 14.5 miles with Clare K. Meet bus 12 or 12A at 9.07am Terminus Road to Hill Rise Seaford where walk starts 9.45am GR 486002. Drop out point after six miles at Exceat. On Wednesday, A Well-Todden Route, 10 miles with Angela F. Meet at the Avenue, 9.30am walk starts at foot of Beachy Head at Dukes Drive, St Bedes School at 9.45am GR 971601. Bus 3 o 3A to St Bedes School. Hilly some stiles and road walking.

MEN’S SOCIETY: The next meeting is on Monday when our speaker is Mike Smith on the Crusades. Meetings are held at St Johns Church, from 3pm, and tea at 2.30pm.

WINE AND SOCIAL CLUB: Polegate Wine and Social Club next meet on February 23 when our speaker is Stewart Gobell who will be bringing along a selection of wines to taste. Our meetings are held at Polegate Community Centre, Windsor Way on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm. Please telephone Sheila on 483222 for more information.

LOCAL HISTORY: The next meeting of Eastbourne Local History Society is Tuesday when our speaker is Peter Haydn-Smith talking about Dr Bodkin Adams and Dr Shipman. Doors open at 6.45pm for 7pm start. Meetings are now held at All Souls Church Hall, Wellesley Road, Eastbourne.

POLEGATE GARDNERS: The society net meet on Thursday at 7.30pm in Polegate Community Centre. There will be a speaker. For more information contact Sheila on 483222.
