JUMBLE SALE: Nevill Juvenile Bonfire Society will be holding a Jumble Sale tomorrow (Saturday) in the village hall. Doors open at 2pm.

ST MARY’S CHURCH: All are welcome to our Sunday services: 8am Holy Communion, 9.45am Family Service, 6.30pm Eucharist with a special celebration of our young people. The Saturday Club picnic takes place on the top of the green near the playground from noon tomorrow (Saturday). All families welcome for fun and games. Bring your own picnic, rugs, etc. To book a yummy pud at the picnic, please let Juliet know you are coming on 01273 813298. The Patronal Festival takes place on Sunday September 13 at 9.45am. There will also be a Festival lunch but no art this year. St Mary’s Men’s Club returns after the summer break on Tuesday when Rev’d Beth speaks about her experience teaching in Saudi Arabia.

BRIDGE CLUB: At its meeting on Wednesday August 26, the result of the duplicate pairs played was: 1, Frank Hibbert and George Montgomery; 2, Hazel North and Russ Heath; 3, Liz and Tim Owen. The club next meets in the St Mary’s room of the village hall on Wednesday at 7.30pm. Contact 814220.

BOWLS CLUB: Last week’s results: Seaford Crouch 59 v Ringmer 57; Captains v Presidents, the Presidents won. We also had club finales day on Saturday. We were lucky with the weather and the winners were: Pair Cup, P Escott and A Hardy; Handicap, M Broadway; Over 75 Cup, J Jarvis; Novice Cup, G Rogers; Two Woods Cup, P Escott; Senior Cup, A Hardy; Ladies Cup, P Escott; Men’s Cup, S Barton; Club Champions Cup, J Sargent. Thank you to all the supporters how came to watch on the day.
