ST MARY’S CHURCH: This weekend at St Mary’s: 8am Holy Communion, 9.45am Family Eucharist, 6.30pm Evensong. Chill-Ringmer Youth Group: a friendly group of 11 to 18 year olds, we meet monthly under the leadership of Julius Ndhala and Sue Clyde. There’s lots of fun, laughter, games and learning with occasional outings. Tonight (Friday) at 15 Sadlers Way, 6.30pm to 8.30pm, the topic, believing in ourselves. BRIDGE CLUB: At its meeting on Wednesday September 9, the result of the duplicate pairs played was: 1, Hazel North and Russ Heath; 2, Frank Hibbert and George Montgomery; 3, Liz and Tim Owen. The club next meets in the St Mary’s room of the village hall on Wednesday at 7.30pm. Contact 814220.

BOWLS CLUB: Last week’s results: Ringmer 65 v Motcombe Gardens 50; Horam 52 v Ringmer 74; Ringmer 73 v St Frances 54; Cross-in-Hand 71 v Ringmer 74; Ringmer 57 v Brighton 59. Ringmer also entered the Rotherfield Kingsberry Cup and Ringmer were the winners.

POSH COFFEE MORNING: In aid of Macmillan Cancer Care will be held in the Church Room at 10am on Friday September 25. A donation is asked for coffee. There will also be cakes, bring and buy, raffle and works by local artists for sale.

COUNTRY MARKET: If you enjoy eating locally grown seasonal produce please come along to the Country Market and see what is on offer. We are open from 10am to 11am in the village hall each Tuesday. The usual array of sweet and savoury goods will be available as well as preserves, eggs, cheese and craft items. Hampers can be made up to any value if ordered in advance (phone 01273812394). There is also an opportunity to sit and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
