HISTORY STUDY GROUP: The meeting this evening (Friday) at 7.45pm in the village hall will be a talk by David Millum and Rob Bruce on the 2015 season excavations at Bridge Farm. As directors of the Culver Archaeological Project they will be updating us on this important Roman site, right on our doorstep.

SOUPER SATURDAY: There will be another Souper Saturday tomorrow (Saturday) from noon to 1.30pm in the village hall. Choose from five different types of homemade soup. £2.50 with one free refill. In aid of the village hall building works.

BRIDGE CLUB: At its meeting on Wednesday February 10, the result of the duplicate pairs played was: 1, Barrie Smith and Alan Grindley; 2, Deirdre Booth and Tony Wing; 3, Frank Hibbert and George Montgomery. The club next meets in the St Mary’s room of the village hall on Wednesday at 7.30pm. Contact 814220

PRIMARY SCHOOL: Ringmer Primary PTA are celebrating the opening of their new building with a fabulous firework display on Friday February 26. There will be a licensed bar and cooked food. Tickets priced at £10 for a family of four or adult £3.50, child £2.50. No unaccompanied children will be admitted. Please note all tickets on the night will incur a £1 surcharge. TRIP TO KEW: Ringmer U3A have organised a coach trip to Kew on Wednesday April 27. The coach will depart from Ringmer at 8am and return about 6pm. Tickets for a seat on the coach are only £11 each. Entry to The National Archives at Kew is free, but those wishing to visit Kew Gardens will need to pay a further £12 (£13 if not a concession). You do not have to be a member of U3A to join this trip.
