CHRISTMAS MARKET: At West Dean tomorrow, Saturday, and Sunday starting at 10am to 4pm each day. There will be Christmas Trees (Norway Spruce/Nordmann), Produce, Christmas Art, gifts and food market. Also available tea, bacon baps and homemade cakes plus a chocolate tombola. There will be a Candlelit Bothy with log fire for Christmas Wishes to go up the chimney. Free entrance and parking in centre of the village.

CONCERT: Of Christmas Music by the Ashdown Singers on Sunday at 3pm in St Thomas More Catholic Church, 54 Sutton Road. Free entry, tea and mince pies available afterwards. There will be a retiring collection in support for the work of Homelink, a Lewes District Churches Charity that helps the homeless into housing. All are welcome to come along and enjoy a popular Christmas Event.

CHRISTMAS LECTURE: With strong artistic theme is to be given by a local art expert Kay Blackburn on Tuesday December 15 at 2.30pm. The lecture is entitled Nativity - What Next and the works she will be discussing include some famous artists of the Renaissance period plus one or two relatively unknown but imaginative artists as well. This will be held at The Chapel Rooms, St Peter’s Church, Belgrove Road. The event is open to all and as well as some tasty art there will be tasty mince pies and Christmas biscuits. The cost will be £5 and that includes refreshments.

CHYNGTON COMMUNITY CAROLS: At Chyngton School on Sunday at 3pm sing your favourite carols along with Seaford Silver Band and Seaford Hand Bells followed by tea and mince pies. Donations of packet or tinned food would be appreciated for Seahaven Food Bank to help with Christmas food boxes.

CONCENTUS CHOIR: This popular choir will be performing their Christmas Concert at St Leonard’s Parish Church, Church Street on Saturday December 12. Traditional and modern favourites for Christmas.
