Volunteers needed to help look out for health of Elm trees

ELM tree protection volunteers are wanted to walk around their local patch every fortnight to look out for the health of the trees.

East Sussex County Councli has promised to train and support volunteers who will meet experienced elm protection volunteers to give guidance.

The next gathering is in Alfriston on the afternoon of May 21, for an introduction to the magnificent elms of the village and tea with fellow volunteers.

If you live in or near the control area from Brighton to Eastbourne, and would like to consider being an elm protection volunteer, get in touch with James Newmarch at james.newmarch@eastsussex.gov.uk or 01273 481838, leaving your contact details.
