Seaford Musical Theatre needs your vote to win a grant of up to £3,000 from the Lloyds Bank Community Fund 2014 in East Sussex.
It plans to use the money to replace the boiler in the Barn Theatre in Seaford warm during winter.
The group has been shortlisted for an award but a public vote will decide the final outcome.
The Barn is a community theatre which is home to the Seaford Community Cinema, travelling shows, local entertainers, fundraisers and their award winning youth section.
Chairman of Seaford Musical Theatre Shar Turnbull said: “The Lloyds Bank Community Fund will enable us to keep the Barn warm for the winter - having our own community building is a double edged sword - we are extremely grateful for having a stable base for all our users but with it comes inevitable overheads which are a considerable cost, maintaining and repairing a building on an ongoing basis.”
The Lloyds Bank Community Fund was set up to help local people have a positive impact at the heart of their community.
Members of the public can vote on-line, by SMS or Twitter, or in a branch of Lloyds Bank until October 10.
The local good cause that receives most votes in each community will receive an award of £3,000, with the other groups receiving £2,000, £1,000 or £500 depending on the votes received.
