The Gleneagles Residents Association in Hailsham held its Annual General Meeting last month.
The meeting heard that chairman John Pilgrim and secretary Graham Yates were to leave their posts due to ill health. The meeting unanimously gave a vote of thanks to John and Graham for their service.
The meeting noted the achievements of the traffic calming measures in Gleneagles Drive and associated remedial work to the drainage in Gleneagles that preceded this as well as many other achievements on behalf of residents.
Taking over in the chair for the next year is Andrew Dixon who has been the association vice-chair, whilst the role of secretary is to be taken by Phil Carpenter, who has been a committee member. Over the next year the committee will be tackling issues such as school traffic and parking, gritting of roads in the winter, overhanging and dangerous foliage and pot holes.
