Water efficiency message at Ringmer Village Fete

Have your say

SOUTH East Water will be spreading water efficiency messages at Ringmer Village fete on Saturday, May 19.

Staff will be on hand in the company’s water efficiency trailer to give out water saving advice and free water saving devices aimed at helping people to save water. South East Water will also be providing a bowser to ensure that water can be used efficiently for catering and cleaning.

Lee Dance, South East Water’s Head of Water Resources and Environmental, said: “We’re excited to be taking part in this event as it will provide a great opportunity for local people to get tips and advice on being water efficient, particularly during the drought conditions we are currently facing.

“While we are not running out of water, it is important that people are encouraged to think carefully about the amount of water they use while we monitor the situation closely.”

Ringmer Village Fete takes place on the village green and features activities including a dog show, visiting marching band, tug of war between two local pubs and a Sussex brass band. The fete starts at 2pm and finishes at 5pm.
