WEALDEN businesses are gearing up for a big day on Tuesday, October 11. That’s the date of the first ever Wealden Business Expo which runs from 10am-4pm in the State Hall, Station Road.
Organisers say most stands are now taken but a few remain so if you have a business, are looking for advice or need a wider audience - you should take part.
There are three free car parks nearby and a cafeteria serving hot food and drinks on site.
This is a chance to meet customers and fellow business people, tell everyone what you do and promote your own business and services.
Organisers have provided space for 44 exhibitors and two rooms for seminars, business discussions groups and forums. With a capacity for 40 people in each room there is wide scope for audiences.
A wide range of businesses have already signed up to take part including large organisations such as Sussex Downs College, the Federation of Small Businesses, the Co-operative Store and Sainsbury’s. There are also many small firms scheduled to be there including PC maintenance, website designers, business coaching and many more.
A competition was held among first year students at Heathfield Community College to design a logo for the Expo. This was won by Tom Wickens, 12 of Turners Green. His design was chosen from an entry of 25. Tom’s prize includes help designing and building his own website. Details at: www.wealdenbusinessexpo.co.uk
