Wealden District Council is performing well according to the council’s 2012/13 perfomance report.
The report showed that more than 84 per cent of major planning applications were processed within 13 weeks against a target of 80 per cent.
The percentage of planning applications processed within five days rose to 99 per cent.
767 food inspections were completed in Wealden by the new Rother and Wealden Shared Environmental Health Service which was 69 more than the annual target.
The report showed 48 per cent of customer queries were resolved by the Council Customer Contact Centre exceeding the annual target of 45 per cent.
It also showed the council provided 163 new affordable homes, 63 more than expected. And 45.8 per cent of household waste was recycled against its target of 45 per cent.
