Wealden Police has donated £200 to Bonners Primary School, Maresfield, to fund the purchase of a new outdoor storage shed which is needed to replace the old storm damaged one.

Nicki Kaufman, head of the school, said: “We are so grateful for this donation. It’s fantastic that we’re now able to buy a new shed and save any more equipment getting damaged.”

The donation comes from the Police Property Act Fund (PPAF), made up of monies received by the police from property confiscated by order of the court and then sold.

Sergeant Rose Hanson said: “It’s great that the property we seize can be converted into money for our local community. I hope that the kids help the staff move all the equipment and keep the new shed nice and tidy.”
