A yellow alert has been issued by the Met Office for Sunday (January 18) with the possibility of some snow falling across Sussex.
A slow-moving band of rain is expected to arrive on Sunday, with the showers turning heavy at times.
There is a possibility that up to 20mm of rain could fall.
There is also the risk that the rain could turn to sleet or settling snow, especially over hills.
Tomorrow (Saturday) could see some light showers and temperatures of around 5degC.
Next week is likely to see further wintry showers which again could turn to snow.
