Police are looking for witnesses after vandals broke fences, smashed wing mirrors and demolished garden walls in a string of incidents over the last two weeks.
Several streets in Willingdon were targeted by the vandals between Friday night (November 6) and Saturday morning (November 7).
More incidents are thought to have taken place between Saturday night and Sunday morning (November 8).
Wing mirrors were smashed on two cars and a fence was damaged in Eastbourne Road, while three cars had their wing mirrors knocked off and two garden walls were damaged in Farmlands Way.
Houses in Gorringe Road and Gorringe Valley Drive also had garden walls partially demolished.
Two garden walls were damaged in Wannock Avenue the previous week, between Monday night (November 2) and Tuesday morning (November 3).
A garden wall was knocked down in St John’s Road in nearby Polegate between Saturday (November 7) and Sunday (November 8).
Police Community Support Officer Alison Beaden said, “This sort of senseless vandalism causes great inconvenience and distress for local residents.
“In the case of the garden walls it would have taken some effort to do this sort of damage, so if anyone saw or heard anything suspicious in the areas during the times mentioned I would urge them to report it to police.”
