Woman airlifted to hospital after horse rolls on her in Heathfield

A 25-YEAR-OLD woman was airlifted to Brighton hospital after she was thrown from, and rolled on by a horse at a farm in Heathfield on Monday morning.

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance was scrambled to attend the accident which happened on farmland at Little London Lane on the Cross in Hand side of the town at 11.50am on April 16. The patient had suffered injuries to her upper limbs, chest and pelvis.

The helicopter transferred the rider to the hospital’s trauma unit in ten minutes.
