Police searching for missing Seaford boy Rhys Millerchip have arrested a woman in Warwickshire on suspicion of conspiracy to abduct a child in care, police said.
Fourteen-year-old Rhys has not been seen since he left the town centre to walk to his nearby address on the morning of December 30.
In the early hours of Thursday morning (January 22), Warwickshire Police arrested a 33-year-old woman from Nuneaton on suspicion of conspiracy to abduct a child in care. She remained in custody on Thursday afternoon, police said.
Rhys is white, 5’ 7”, of slim build, with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, black Nike trainers and a khaki green zip-up jacket.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police are concerned for Rhys’s welfare because of his age and consequent vulnerability and believe that he may be in Warwickshire and in particular, the Nuneaton area.
“He also has family and friends in the Sidcup and Welling areas of south-east London, where enquiries are also being made.”
Anyone who has seen him or who knows where he might be is asked to call police on 101 or email email@example.com, quoting serial 1116 of 30/12.
