Work will start on re-lining roads in Peacehaven and Telscombe that have become worn through use on Monday June 3.
During the project more than 12,500 metres of carriageway lines will be painted in the two towns.
This will include junction markings, pedestrian crossings and traffic calming features as well as School Keep Clear markings.
East Sussex County Council said the initial estimate for the work was £32,000 and was part of the East Sussex Highways’ annual budget for re-lining roads in the county.
The county council said work would take place during off-peak times and was expected to be completed on Wednesday June 12.
Peacehaven Town Council said it had discussed the issue with the county council recently
