Hailsham and Willingdon libraries took part in World Book Night on Wednesday (April 23).
The initiative aims to encourage people to give books to people who don’t usually read.
Twelve libraries in the county acted as distribution points for special World Book Night editions of selected titles, which were handed out in the community by volunteers.
Libraries are also encouraging people to register as a ‘community giver’ to hand out books of their choice to people who don’t usually read.
