Bedroom tax - We all have to live within our means

I had to read D Myles’ letter twice to believe what I was reading. By what stretch of the imagination does being given very slightly less of other people’s money in housing benefits equate to paying a tax?

Perhaps D Myles should do what most people who pay their own way do, and accept the fact that they have to live in the house that they can afford to pay for.

We all have to go without things that we can’t afford. It’s called living within your means, and an awful lot of people seem to have forgotten that it’s a very sensible way for families, as well as countries, to run their affairs.
