Bigger notices needed for Seaford’s promenade cycling scheme

As you indicated in your recent article, the Share with Care scheme seems, on the whole, to be working well.

However, you omitted to alert your readers to the fact that the scheme does not apply to the final portion of the promenade between the entrance to the Martello Tower and Splash Point.

For a variety of reasons, cycling is entirely inappropriate along this stretch of the promenade. Signs clearly indicate that cycling is prohibited.

Unfortunately, some cyclists either fail to see these signs, or else, they wilfully ignore them.

More, and larger, signs might help the former.

A prosecution or two might deter the latter and help to reduce the real likelihood of a nasty accident, which is just waiting to happen.
