IT is an absolute disgrace that the Canon O’Donnell building has been allowed to deteriorate to such an extent that those people without soul are now hollering for its demolition.
Why are we referring to it as an Edwardian? It is a distinctive style of its own. It is a fine example of arts and crafts architecture.
There are few houses of this style in Lewes and what we have we need to protect and not allow greedy developers to destroy our heritage and replace it with mediocre rabbit hutches.
