I have just been out for a walk and very annoyed to find yet again horse manure on a public path – not a bridleway but a footpath.
What right have horse riders to use public footpaths forcing pedestrians onto the road through their inconsideration.
If they find the public highway too dangerous to ride their horse, take another route.
My local councillor kindly added a small notice into our parish magazine (Framfield & Blackboys) a month or so ago reminding horse riders that public footpaths are not for horses, but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears and I am very annoyed it is still happening.
