ARE you aged over 50 and have some time to spare? Is the promotion of the interests and needs of the older members of our community something you care about? Would you like to be part of a local voluntary organisation? Do you enjoy teamwork?
If any or some of the above questions appeal to you, the Lewes District Seniors Forum would love to hear from you.
About 418 people have joined the forum since its inception six years ago and new members are always welcome. Membership is free. The LDSF liaises with the local authorities, local health and voluntary bodies and some national organisations in a bid to encourage and improve the well-being and standards of care for its more senior citizens.
It also arranges social functions and coffee mornings each year, thereby providing enjoyable opportunities for its members – the most recent of these being a forthcoming theatre trip to Chichester on May 3.
The LDSF committee meets once a month and is seeking to recruit some enthusiastic individuals to join its small but dedicated group. If you think you could make a contribution to assist us with the running of this worthwhile and rewarding organisation, or if you simply wish to become a member of the forum, please call 07890 761164 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
