Some months ago, Cllr Alan Latham regaled us with his poorly-informed opinions regarding the evidence of human-induced climate change.
It seems it’s time he did so again, if his letter in last week’s Sussex Express [February 10] is anything to go by.
He calls – once more – for “a full evidence-based evaluation [of climate change] undertaken by genuinely independent appropriately qualified scientists and statisticians.”
I can only refer the honourable gentleman – once more – to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which is a scientific and intergovernmental body under the auspices of the United Nations, set up at the request of member governments, dedicated to the task of providing the world with an objective, scientific view of climate change and its political and economic impacts.
I suggest he tries looking it up for once.
