To Norman Baker MP:
I have just seen the plans for pavement widening in Station St. It defies common sense, safety and aesthetics to increase an already wide pavement more than the much narrower one outside my house, which needs to be rectified at once.
Please be aware that wing mirrors of buses and lorries protrude by at least 30cm.
The station side of the street is used by commuters and the public pavement widening scheme hasn’t taken account of this. There is no allowance being made for cyclists.
