Lib Dems killing off ‘cancer cure’ legislation

The decision of the LibDem MPs to stop other MPs in Westminster voting on a new law to allow doctors to test treatments on dying patients is disappointing.

The Bill would have allowed doctors to help find cures for cancer and other serious illnesses.

The LibDems have effectively killed off this legislation which had already been passed by The House of Lords even after heavy amendment. Still the LibDems did not want to know.

The LibDems claimed that some medical bodies considered the Bill could put patients at risk. I know of someone who is currently benefiting from this type of innovative research and her cancer is being held at bay. The LibDems should be ashamed of themselves.
