Norman Baker putting job on line over Syrian crisis

I was interested to read in “Viewpoint” that Norman Baker MP recognised the Commons debate on Syria as “a rather an odd one” and that although Norman voted with the government, he was planning to vote against and resign from government “if we had been presented with a vote to give the green light to military intervention by the UK on the basis of the facts presented”.

While I am pleased that he was prepared to put his job on the line for the people of Syria who appear to have suffered an appalling chemical attack in addition to two years of horrific civil war that has been tolerated by the current government, it is a shame he wasn’t prepared to put his job on the line for the people of Lewes and keep his preelection promise on student tuition fees.
