In 2012 developers put in an application to build 200 houses at Oaklands, a site to the south of Hailsham and outside of the development boundary.
Hundreds of local people objected, Hailsham Town Council objected, and Wealden District
Council refused the application. In 2013 the developers appealed the decision, but the Secretary of State upheld it.
They then applied for a judicial review and eventually in April this year we were delighted to hear that this review also said they couldn’t build.
And now just two months later, in comes another application that is almost identical!
What part of “no” don’t they understand?
