Politicians are out of touch

NORMAN Baker rightly, yet cynically, criticised (letter last week) the last Labour Government for introducing privatisation into the NHS. At the same time he is a member of a government that will extend this privatisation with the controversial Health and Social Care Bill. All three main parties are out of touch with the wishes of health professionals and the majority of people who do not want private profit taking over.

This is another example of parliament serving the interest of finance, the 1 percent, and not the majority 99 percent. The political system fails us. No wonder the Occupy Wall Street has spread to more than 900 cities around the world.
