I’m sure I’m not the only person becoming rather tired of the so- called experts who are apparently able to predict the impact on employment and business if Britain stays or leaves the EU.
I would much prefer to take the advice of the professionals who have practical experience, with their own survival and many people’s livelihoods depending on their decisions.
In this regard the Director General of the Confederation of British Industry advocates that Britain remain within the EU, and 80% of businesses in a CBI/YouGov survey agreed with this.
Also, it is interesting that nobody in Scotland appears to support withdrawal from the EU. In fact, if they do gain independence they are extremely anxious to rejoin the EU as quickly as possible.
The benefits of EU membership may be hard to quantify precisely, but I’m pretty sure we would miss it badly if we were not in it.
