I find it diffcult to take in the decision of two bonfire societies not to parade with these effigies.
Many political figures have been consumed by fire over the years,so surely they should not bow to the pressure of a few, as it could result in future effigies being withdrawn if a complaint is made.
I hope no further time or money is wasted on this matter. Have the Scots no sense of humour?
I would like to ask one question of the societies involved; What has happened to the old saying ‘We won’t be druv’?
