The condition of our roads in and around the Lewes area leave a lot to be desired.
Recently two road repair lorries arrived on our road and parked. Since I was working outside our house, I asked the driver whether they’d come to fill in the road?
Yes was the reply - but we cannot do it because there are cars parked in the road - then off they went in convoy.
I must be missing something, but I’m sure that there will always be cars driving or parking on the roads in Lewes.
Does this mean we will never get our roads repaired as long as the health and safety directives is so strictly adhered to?
