KARAOKE kings and queens could win a recording session with Ben Mills from X Factor in a charity competition.
Demelza Hospice Care for Children, which looks after youngsters across East Sussex, announced the contest this week.

Pubs across the region, including The Trek Club in Seaford and Newhaven Social Club, will be holding Pub Idol 2009 heats.

The karaoke competitions are a gateway to the semi finals at the end of November and a grand final in Brighton on December 1.

The judging panel at the final will include Ben Mills from X Factor and Fiona Collett from Vince Power Music Group.

Heats will be held at a date to be confirmed at The Trek Club during the third week in November and Newhaven Social Club.

More pubs and clubs have confirmed but are yet to set their dates.

Demelza provides hospice care for over 570 children with life limiting illnesses and their families across Kent, East Sussex and South East London.

Its community team helps around 170 children and families, with specialist paediatric nurses providing support at home.
