A PROJECT to move the East Sussex records office from Lewes to Falmer is "on track" according to the county council.
The Keep will be a £19 million new archive centre which will house more than 900 years of Sussex history, including Brighton and Hove.
East Sussex County Council has pledged £12.5 million towards the scheme and is working with Brighton & Hove City Council on the building project in partnership with the University of Sussex.
The new building is planned to be built at Woollards Field at Falmer to replace the current archive and record office at The Maltings in Lewes.
On November 17 the council's scrutiny committee said work is progressing well and a planning application could be made next summer.
