Another late strike costs Lewes

A late, late strike was once again the undoing of Lewes at Cambridge United on Tuesday night.
Despite a good defensive display for 90 minutes, a scrambled Jon Challinor effort in the first minute of stoppage time sealed all three points for the hosts and left the visitors heartbroken once again.

Late goals conceded at Woking, Altrincham, Histon – and now at Cambridge – means the Rooks have seen six valuable points slip through their hands at the death already this season.
