Sussex and England pace bowler Chris Jordan has signed-up to join Royal Challengers Bangalore as a replacement overseas player in IPL 2016.
Jordan will travel to India on April 30th and will be available to the Royal Challengers Bangalore for their remaining IPL 2016 matches from 7 May onwards.
Sussex’s Head Coach Mark Davis said, “Whilst it is difficult for us to lose a player of Chris Jordan’s quality at this stage of the season, it is an exciting opportunity that doesn’t come around that often, and one that he mustn’t turn down.
“We hope that the experience that he will gain in the IPL with Royal Challengers Bangalore will in turn benefit us as a club when he returns, and we wish him the very best of luck for his stint.”
Andrew Strauss, Director England Cricket said, “We are happy to support Chris in his decision to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2016. Participating in the tournament will be a good opportunity for him to further develop his white-ball skills and experience.”
